Licensing A six-day, non-resident license with big game tag is $80.00. The full season is $100.00. We are sorry that we can not arrange to have your license waiting for you when you arrive. Therefore, you will have to pick them up at Wal-Mart when you come into town or have them mailed to you. Go to http://www.ncwildlife.org/license/index.htm to order your license in advance. For North Carolina residents, remember that your doe tags will not be used here, so you will still have them to use at home.
Special things to know about our property... • Bring Rubber Boots: We really like Lacrosse Burleys, but anything in this type of footwear is a plus on this type of property. • Prepare for the early season mosquitoes either with spray or net covers. • Get confident with your weapon! This will greatly add to the enjoyment of your hunt and will assure that a clean kill is made. • Bring Blaze Orange for the muzzleloader and rifle periods of deer season.

North Carolina Deer Hunting and Fishing Booking Information Sunday to Wednesday North Carolina Deer Hunting (3-Day) • Sunday: Arrive after 3PM.
Sunday to Saturday North Carolina Deer Hunting (6-Day) • Sunday: Arrive after 3PM.
Wednesday to Saturday North Carolina Deer Hunting (3-Day) • Wednesday: Arrive after 3PM.
Directions to Thornbury Plantation Hunting Lodge - The best North Carolina Deer Hunting Outfitter Take Exit 173 off I-95. If going to Wal-Mart for a hunting license, take 158 West. At 1st stop light you will see a Waffle House on the left. Turn left at the light for the Wal-Mart shopping center. If coming straight to the Lodge, take Highway 158 East into Weldon. Follow 158 East approximately 3 miles. Highway 158 runs into Highway 301. Follow Highways 158 E. and 301 N. You will go over Roanoke River Bridge. Go for approximately 2 miles and then Hwys 158 E. and 301 N. will split. Follow 158 East. Take your first right onto Occoneechee Neck Road. After 3 miles there will be a stop sign, take a right. Stay on Occoneechee Neck Road. Go approximately 2 miles and the Lodge will be on your left.
