Thornbury Plantation Hunting Lodge

When you come to hunt at Thornbury, you stay in a comfortable, four-bedroom lodge that sleeps 12. All four of our bedrooms are downstairs for your convenience, with two sleeping four people, and the other two sleeping two. Our double-occupancy rooms are ideal for a variety of parties, including husband-wife, father-son, or full-family combinations. Additionally, a large commercial kitchen and dining room is available for your perusal, as well as a downstairs game room that includes darts and a pool table. Our bathrooms always have fresh linens, and a washer and dryer also are available for your convenience.You also can relax and enjoy our upstairs trophy room and lounge, where you can watch satellite TV and use our massage chair. The lounge also features a walk-in cooler where you can store your harvest until your departure, and a spacious back deck.

The only things you need to bring are personal toiletries and hunting gear. We provide the rest!

The Property

Thornbury Plantation operates on 3200 acres of privately owned land, located in an area of Northampton County known as Occoneechee Neck. Surrounded on three sides by 15 miles of the Roanoke River, and accessible only by one paved road, Occoneechee is locally regarded as one of the best places to hunt in the county. Local landowners and adjacent lodge managers are working together and have combined over 18,000 acres in one block, all of which operate under some form of wildlife management.

Thornbury Plantation is located in the very heart of this region. In addition, every year at Thornbury, we are aggressively installing new food plots, and doing other beneficial Quality Deer Management (QDM) practices on our many acres of diversified woodlands and agricultural fields.
